- Densities mentioned are for standard MDF Boards -Higher density boards are also manufactured.
- Cyclic Test – Specimens are immersed in water at 27± 2 degrees centigrade for a period of 72 hours, followed by drying in air at 27± 2 degrees centigrade for 24 hours and then heating in dry air at 70 degrees centigrade for 72 hours. Three such cycles are followed and then specimens are tested for tensile strength perpendicular to the surface.
- Accelerated Water Resistance Test – Specimens are immersed in water at 27± 2 degrees centigrade and water is brought to boiling and kept at boiling temperature for 2 hours. Specimens are then cooled in water to 27± 2 degrees centigrade and tested for tensile strength perpendicular to the surface.
